Xinhua, March 25, 2016 Adjust font size:

One French national was killed in the deadly Brussels attacks allegedly committed Tuesday by Islamic State (IS) militants, the French foreign ministry Quai d'Orsay announced Friday, cited by local media.

Another 12 French nationals were injured in the attacks, three of them seriously wounded, Quai d'Orsay added.

In a statement issued on Tuesday after the attacks, the French foreign ministry called on French expatriates in Brussels to limit their movement in Brussels after the fatal explosions, adding that a crisis center had been set up to help French nationals in the neighboring country of Belgium.

On Tuesday, two explosions at Brussels airport and another one at Maelbeek metro station near the European Union institutions killed at least 31 people and injured another 300, according to official figures. Endit
