Namibia eyes three points from Burundi

Xinhua, March 25, 2016 Adjust font size:

Namibia's coach for the Brave Warriors has said his team will travel to Burundi for Saturday's match to get the three points.

The Brave Warriors will clash with the Burundian team in Bujumbura at the Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium in the 2016 Confederation of African Football qualifier.

Drawn in Group K together with Senegal, Burundi and Niger, Namibia anchors the logo with no point after losing two games in the opening stages to Niger in June 2015 and then to Senegal in September 2015.

Group K is led by Senegal (six points) , followed by Burundi and Niger at number three but both with three points.

Ricardo Mannetti, who named his 20-member squad Thursday, said his only aim to grab the three points.

"We will not be content with anything less than the three points. I have full confidence in the players I have. They are ready to go and represent the country to the best of their ability," he said before the team flew out Friday. Enditem
