Senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Li Zhanshu on Thursday held talks with Russian Presidential Administration chief Sergei Ivanov.

"The close high-level exchanges demonstrate the importance of the relationship. China has always prioritized ties with Russia," Li said.

Li said the General Office of the CPC Central Committee was willing to work with the Russian Presidential Administration to ensure the implementation of the consensus reached by the two heads of state and contribute more to bilateral relations.
