China's CCS opens news office in Stockholm

China's leading shipping classification services provider China Classification Society (CCS) opened a new office in Stockholm to better serve Nordic regions, it was reported Tuesday.

"China Classification Society Stockholm office is the second CCS office in Sweden, and the 11th in Europe," said Wang Chengyu, general manager of CCS Hamburg Branch.

"The establishment of CCS Stockholm Office will enable us to carry out survey business with higher quality and efficiency and also to provide better inspection service and technical support for our end customers," said Li Xiaotao, general manager of CCS Stockholm Office.

Founded in 1956, CCS is a specialized organization of China to provide classification services. CCS provides services for the shipping, shipbuilding, offshore exploration and related manufacturing industries and marine insurance.

With more than 12,000 vessels totaling 97 million GT in its registry, CCS is presently authorized by the administrations of more than 36 countries and regions to carry out statutory services on their behalf. Endit
