British FTSE 100 stays almost flat on Monday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Monday decreased by 0.08 percent, or 5.06 points, to 6,184.58 points.

Share price of Shire increased by 4.09 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips.

Sports Direct International, GKN, TUI and Whitbread increased by 5.88 percent, 3.69 percent, 3.33 percent and 2.94 percent respectively.

Antofagasta led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.65 percent, following by London Stock Exchange Group (2.39 percent), Aviva (2.30 percent), TUI (2.15 percent) and Rolls-Royce Holdings (1.95 percent). Endit
