Germany's benchmark DAX index little changed on Monday

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday was little changed and closed at 9,948.64 points.

Uncertainty about the Fed policy and the upcoming Easter holiday are among the factors which made the trading inactive, according to local analysts. The blue-chip DAX index lost 2.16 points.

Bayer led the risers' list with an increase of 3.26 percent. Linde, an industrial gas company, rose by 0.95 percent. BASF climbed by 0.69 percent. Henkel added 0.55 percent. Vonovia, a real estate company, advanced by 0.53 percent.

The two utilities companies RWE and E.ON dropped by 3.5 percent and 3.34 percent. Thyssenkrupp lost 1.83 percent. Deutsche Boerse slipped by 1.74 percent. Deutsche Lufthansa slid by 1.38 percent.

Bayer was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 374.51 million euros (around 422.01 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
