Former Brazil goalkeeper Dida looking for new club

Former Brazil international goalkeeper Dida has revealed a desire to continue playing after failing to secure a contract extension with Brazilian Serie A club Internacional.

In an interview published by Brazil's Estadao news portal on Saturday, the 42-year-old said he is in full training despite ending a two-year spell with the Porto Alegre club in December.

"I want to keep playing and that's way I'm still staying fit, in case a club calls me," said the former AC Milan keeper, who also expressed a wish to coach.

Dida is currently going for his coaching qualification badges and says his quiet nature will not affect his ability to take charge of a club.

"I have always been reserved and even-tempered," he said. "The most important thing is to know how to lead a team and manage the difficulties within the game.

"Dealing with the press nearly every day is going to be more difficult. Although maybe I've learnt how to deal with that now. "

Dida played in two Champions League winning teams for AC Milan and was a member of the Brazil squad that won the 2002 World Cup. Endit
