Japan's Marin Honda wins ladies singles at World Junior Figure Skating

Marin Honda of Japan won the ladies' singles on Saturday at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships in Debrecen, Hungary with 192.98 points.

Maria Sotskova of Russia finished second with 188.72 points. Third placed Wakaba Higuchi also of Japan garnered 183.73 points.

China's Li Xiangning was 20th with 123.94 points.

Alisa Fedichkina of Russia, who stood in first place following the short program, withdrew from the event due to injury. She sprained her right ankle while warming up off the ice for the free skating on Saturday.

The championships continue on Saturday evening with the ice dance free dance event. Endit
