Cuban health authorities announced on Saturday that a new case of the Zika virus infection has been detected in the country.

The fifth imported case of the Zika virus has been confirmed, said the Ministry of Public Health in a press release.

The patient, at the age of 27, arrived in Cuba on March 9 from Brazil.

The patient, who was receiving treatment at the Pedro Kouri Institute of Tropical Medicine in Havana, is reportedly in good condition.

Cuba has so far only registered one domestic Zika infection case - a 21-year-old woman in Havana. Endi
