Fisher to meet Chen in women's final at Chinese Billiard World Championships

Xinhua, March 19, 2016 Adjust font size:

Women's World Snooker Championship winner Kelly Fisher will play against Chen Siming from China in the final of the Chinese Billiard World Championships.

Britain's Fisher remained to be the only foreign player in the final four after Yang Fan beat Kim Gayoung from South Korea in the quarterfinal.

With just three months passed after a major surgery on her heart last December though, Fisher proved her ability by establishing a 12-9 advantage in best-of-25 semifinal. Yang, however, saved three match points to tie 12-12. Fisher grabbed the last chance to secure the ticket to the final after Yang's turnover.

In a Chinese national team derby, Chen Siming outscored Liu Shasha 13-11 to become the other finalist.

Sunday will witness the birth of a new champion after Bai Ge, last year's winner who was eliminated in the preliminaries. Endi
