Trains derails in central India with no casualty caused

Xinhua, March 15, 2016 Adjust font size:

A passenger train derailed in a forest in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh Tuesday, a senior railway official said.

However, no casualty has been reported in the incident as the engine of the train only jumped tracks in the state's left-wing Naxalite rebel infested Dantewada district.

"The Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Express derailed near Kamaloor while en route Vishakapatnam in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh," the official said on condition of anonymity.

No one has died or sustained injuries in the mishap, he added.

Security forces have been dispatched in the area as the role of Naxalites is not ruled out, the official said, adding a probe has been ordered into the mishap. Endit
