The death toll from Sunday's attack on a beach resort in Cote d'Ivoire has risen to 18 from 16, authorities said on Monday.

Interior Minister Hamed Bakayoko said 15 civilians and three government soldiers were killed while over 30 others injured.

Gunmen raided three hotels in the country's southern seaside resort town of Grand-Bassam Sunday, killing at least 14 civilians and two government soldiers. (Cote d'Ivoire-Death)

CARACAS -- Up to 25 gold miners are feared to be missing or slain after violence erupted in gold mines in the southeastern state of Bolivar on March 4, Venezuela's Ombudsman Tarek William Saab said on Sunday.

ISLAMABAD -- At least 49 people were killed and 80 others injured in separate accidents caused by the current spell of torrential rains in Pakistan over the last four days, the authorities said Monday.

ANKARA -- Turkish security forces have arrested 18 suspects following a car bomb attack that killed at least 37 people in the capital city of Ankara, private Dogan news agency reported on Monday.
