Indian stocks close higher

Indian stocks ended on a positive note on Monday after cooling off from the day's high as February wholesale price inflation entered the negative zone for the 16th month, reinforcing the deflationary pressure in the economy.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 24,804.28, 86.29 points or 0.35 percent up from previous close of 24,717.99, with a turnover of 1,863.90 crore rupees (about 278.1 million U.S. dollars). Endit
