Urgent: Gold down on stronger U.S. dollar

Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange fell slightly on Tuesday as the U.S. dollar showed strength, despite weaker U.S. equities.

The most active gold contract for April delivery fell 1.1 U.S. dollars, or 0.09 percent, to settle at 1,262.90 dollars per ounce. Endit
