Chinese shares extend winning streak on Tuesday

Chinese shares closed in the positive territory on Tuesday despite drastic fluctuations during the session, extending the winning streak to the sixth day.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.14 percent to close at 2,901.39 points, and the smaller Shenzhen index closed 0.3 percent higher at 9,732.73 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, rose 2.5 percent to close at 2,002.19 points. Endi
