British FTSE 100 rises 1.13 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday rose by 1.13 percent, or 68.97 points, to 6,199.43 points.

Share price of Glencore increased by 11.89 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Anglo American, BHP Billiton, Antofagasta and Aberdeen Asset Management increased by 11.07 percent, 9.12 percent, 7.73 percent, 5.85 percent respectively.

Schroders led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.16 percent, followed by Travis Perkins (3.57 percent), Berkeley Group Holdings (2.27 percent), Barratt Developments (1.68 percent) and London Stock Exchange Group (1.38 percent). Endit
