Spanish stock market rises 0.5 percent, closes at 8,811 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.5 percent on Friday to close at 8,811 points, up from the 8,767 points of Thursday.

Share values were up 5.5 percent in the week as a whole with the risk premium falling to 132.4 points from the 143 points of Monday and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closing at 1.5 percent on Friday.

On Friday's session, ArcelorMittal shares led rises spiking 7.30 percent, followed by Mapfre, Acerinox, Indra and IAG which rose 4.04 percent, 3.09 percent, 3.09 percent and 2.0 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Gamesa shares led falls losing 3.67 percent, followed by FCC, Banco Popular, Acciona and Banco Sabadell that lost 2.47 percent, 1.91 percent, 1.63 percent and 1.52 percent respectively. Endit
