Urgent: Gold up on weaker U.S. dollar

Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange rose on Friday as the U.S. dollar showed weakness.

The most active gold contract for April delivery rose 12.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.99 percent, to settle at 1,270.70 dollars per ounce. Enditem
