Two Israeli soldiers were injured in a stabbing attack outside a Jewish settlement in the West Bank on Wednesday before the assailants fled the scene, the Israeli army said.
A military spokesperson said that incident occurred at around 7 pm (about 5 pm GMT,) when two Palestinians arrived at the entrance of the settlement of Har Bracha, south of Nablus. The pair stabbed two soldiers that were guarding the place and then fled the area.
"The Israel Defense Force is currently searching the area," the spokesperson added.
A spokesman with Israel's emergency medical said that one soldier suffered light-to-moderate wounds in his shoulder, and the other was slightly injured and was treated by military medics at the scene.
The incident was the latest in a five-month Palestinian uprising, with almost daily violence in the West Bank and Israel. At least 170 Palestinians and 28 Israelis have been killed since October. Enditem
