Spanish stock market rises 1.78 pct, closes at 8,764 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 1.78 percent on Wednesday to close at 8,764.50 points, up from the 8,611 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday session, Banco Sabadell shares led rises climbing 6.71 percent, followed by Banco Popular, Banco Santander, BBVA and FCC that rose 6.58 percent, 5.64 percent, 4.42 percent and 3.81 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Acerinox shares led falls losing 2.55 percent, followed by Mediaset, Enagas, Gamesa and Red Electrica that lost 1.79 percent, 1.51 percent, 1.45 percent and 1.09 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 135.4 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.56 percent. Endit
