Tokyo shares end lower by break on advancing yen

Tokyo shares ended the morning session lower on Tuesday as selling of export-oriented issues was triggered by an advancing yen.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 109.92 points, or 0.69 percent, from Monday to 15,916.84.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 9.00 points, or 0.69 percent, to 1,288.85. Endit
