Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) protested on Thursday for the visit of Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta to east Jerusalem and the Israeli settlement in the West Bank.
The PLO Executive Committee said in a press statement that international treaties consider the Palestinian territories occupied by Israel in 1967 as part of the state of Palestine territories.
President Kenyatta is visiting in Israel without arranging a visit to the Palestinian territories or meeting with any of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) officials.
He visited east Jerusalem, the part of the city that the Palestinians consider the future capital of the state of Palestine. Kenyatta also visited the settlement of Galia near the Dead Sea in the West Bank.
"No one has the right to visit in these territories without an in-advance coordination with the Palestinian leadership," said the PLO statement.
Hanan Ashrawi, the PLO official, said in the PLO statement that "such behaviors boost the Israeli occupation and create a position of collusion between Kenya and the Israeli occupation."
Ashrawi called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab League and the Organization of African Unity to declare their rejection to such behaviors and take measures to correct this situation. Endit
