Chinese senior officials meet Britain's Chancellor of the Exchequer

Chinese Vice Premier Ma Kai met with Britain's First Secretary of State George Osborne in Beijing on Thursday.

Ma and Osborne, also Chancellor of the Exchequer, exchanged views on the current economic, financial situation and strengthening bilateral economic and financial cooperation.

Osborne is scheduled to participate in the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting later this week in Shanghai.

Meng Jianzhu, head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, also met with Osborne on Thursday.

Meng and Osborne discussed issues of common concern, including anti-terrorism and cyber security. Endi
