Croatian Veterans Minister resigns amid waves of criticism

Xinhua, January 29, 2016 Adjust font size:

Croatian Veterans Minister Mijo Crnoja on Thursday evening announced his resignation amid waves of criticism over alleged misbehavior.

Crnoja, who was appointed as the minister only six days ago, said he stepped down because he did not want to be a problem of the newly formed government.

He denied the accusations against him, saying he had presented all documents to the government and legal experts.

The opposition in parliament requested his resignation following media reported that Crnoja had provided false information regarding his residence place and involved in some physical violence. Endit
