Urgent: U.S. dollar dips ahead of Fed statement

The U.S. dollar decreased against most major currencies on Tuesday as investors were awaiting the Federal Reserve statement due out Wednesday.

In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.0849 dollars from 1.0837 dollars in the previous session, while the dollar bought 118.48 Japanese yen, lower than 118.49 yen of the previous session. Endit
