The Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) has on Friday announced an 11-member Political Bureau to be led by newly elected party secretary-general, Bounnhang Vorachit.

Currently serving as the country's vice president, Bounnhang, 78, is expected to announce a new ministerial cabinet later this year.

Ranking second in the Political Bureau is Thongloun Sisoulith, 70, currently the country's deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs.

Third in the Political Bureau is Pany Yathotou, born in 1951 and currently serving as the president of the country's legislature, the National Assembly. Endit
