British FTSE 100 rises 1.68 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 1.68 percent, or 96.88 points, to 5,876.80 points.

Share price of TUI increased by 5.55 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Glencore, Berkeley Group Holdings, CRH, Persimmon increased by 5.10 percent, 4.14 percent, 3.99 percent and 3.87 percent respectively.

Randgold Resources led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.38 percent, followed by Tesco (1.52 percent), Fresnillo (1.48 percent), Pearson (1.08 percent) and Shire (0.64 percent). Endit
