Three suspects in Burkina Faso attack still at large: French PM

Xinhua, January 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Three gunmen out of six who stormed a hotel and a restaurant in Burkina Faso's capital last Friday are still at large, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said on Tuesday.

"Six individuals opened fire on the Cappuccino cafe against unarmed clients before taking refuge in the Splendid hotel," Valls told lawmakers.

Three attackers have been killed in the assault and three others are still on the run, he said without elaborating.

According to earlier reports, militants affiliated to al-Qaeda killed 30 people and wounded dozens after seizing a hotel known with Westerners and attacked a restaurant and a hotel nearby in Ouagadougou. Endit
