British actress Sian Blake and her two sons were confirmed dead, police said Thursday.

Police are treating the deaths as murder after the three bodies were found in the garden of the family home in Erith, Kent. Significant attempts had been made to conceal the bodies, police said.

The victims of Sian Blake, 43, who starred in British soap opera EastEnders, and her children Zachary Bilal Kent-Blake, eight, and Amon Ben George Kent-Blake, four, died from "head and neck injuries", according to Scotland Yard.

Ms Blake and her sons had not been seen since December 13. They were reported missing three days later.

Ms Blake's partner, Arthur Simpson-Kent, is being sought by police over the deaths. However, reports said he may have left the Britain and may be in Ghana.

Detective Superintendent Paul Monk, from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC), said: "We are continuing to appeal for any information about the movements of Arthur Simpson-Kent who was last seen by police officers at his home in Erith on 16 December."

"This is a fast moving investigation and we are actively pursuing a number of lines of enquiry. If anyone has any information that they think might help our investigation then I would urge them to get in contact with us," said Monk. Endit
