Belarus firmly supports peaceful resolution of Ukrainian crisis

Xinhua, January 7, 2016 Adjust font size:

Belarusian Foreign Ministry supports firmly the need for peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis, the Ministry said in a report published Wednesday on the results of Belarus' foreign policy in 2015.

A peaceful resolution of the crisis will contribute to the strict implementation of the Minsk Agreement by all parties, it added.

On the basis of a genuine interest in a speedy resolution of the crisis in Ukraine, Belarus has consistently promoted its de-escalation, noted the report.

According to the Ministry, the agreements reached during the summit "Norman Quartet" in Minsk are internationally recognized mechanism for a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict today.

The Ministry stressed that the Belarusian side had provided all necessary conditions for holding regular trilateral meetings of the contact group in Ukraine and thematic working groups in its structure. Endit
