Ukraine's natural gas imports dropped by 16.3 percent last year to around 16.4 billion cubic meters, the state-run energy firm Ukrtransgaz said in a report on Wednesday.
In particular, Ukraine has imported around 6.1 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia in 2015, down 58 percent year-on-year, the report said.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's gas imports from Europe doubled to 10.3 billion cubic meters, it said.
From January to October 2015, Ukraine reduced its gas consumption by 19.4 percent year-on-year to 25.8 billion cubic meters mainly due to the crisis in energy-intensive industries triggered by the conflict in eastern regions, the country's industrial heartland. Endit
