Ukraine's gas imports down 16.3 pct in 2015

Xinhua, January 7, 2016 Adjust font size:

Ukraine's natural gas imports dropped by 16.3 percent last year to around 16.4 billion cubic meters, the state-run energy firm Ukrtransgaz said in a report on Wednesday.

In particular, Ukraine has imported around 6.1 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia in 2015, down 58 percent year-on-year, the report said.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's gas imports from Europe doubled to 10.3 billion cubic meters, it said.
