Chelsea defender Wallace poised for Gremio loan

Xinhua, January 2, 2016 Adjust font size:

Brazil's Gremio have reportedly agreed to sign Chelsea left-back Wallace on a year-long loan.

The 21-year-old joined Chelsea from Fluminense in 2013 and had loan spells at Inter Milan, Dutch club Vitesse and Italy's Carpi.

Gremio are awaiting documentation from the Premier League club before confirming the deal, according to the Uol news portal.

The move would make Wallace only the second Chelsea player to be loaned to non-European club.

Gremio finished the 2015 Brazilian Serie A season in third place, earning them qualification for this year's Copa Libertadores. Endit
