Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki moved past Shaquille O'Neal on Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets to the No. 6 scorer in NBA history against .

   Nowitzki passed O'Neal, who finished his career with 28,596 points, by hitting a midrange jumper with 9:51 remaining in the second quarter.
