Death toll from typhoon Melor rises to 35 in Philippines

Death toll from typhoon Melor, locally named as Nona, increased to 35, while damages to infrastructure and agriculture sectors breached 2 billion pesos (57.08 U.S. dollars) in the Philippines, the state disaster management agency said Sunday.
Six other individuals were still missing, while 24 others were injured, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
Of the 2.07 billion pesos (57.08 U.S. dollars) damage, 1.836 billion pesos(38.81 U.S. dollars) came from agriculture.
Over 65,000 families or some 290,000 persons were displaced and they were being served either inside or outside the evacuation centers.
