Business climate in France slightly deteriorated in December

French business leaders expressed less confidence on the country's economic activities, with the monthly sentiment indicator lost one point to 101 in December due to the Paris attacks in November, the national statistics bureau INSEE said on Friday.

The agency's monthly data showed that the businessmen did not appreciate retail trade sector whose index lost four points. Impacted by the recent terror assaults, climate of services stood at 99 points, down two points from November figures.

However, the indicator gained one point in manufacturing and building construction at 103 and 92 points respectively.

At the same time, the turning point indicator is still at 0.1 which indicates a favorable short-term economic outlook, INSEE said. Endit
