The 28-nation European Union's (EU) seasonally-adjusted current account surplus stood at 19.8 billion euros (21.4 billion U.S. dollars) in October, compared with a surplus of 19.7 billion euros in the previous month, the EU statistical office Eurostat said on Friday.

The adjusted data also showed the surplus of the current account rose on a year-on-year basis from 10.8 billion euros in October 2014.

Eurostat said that compared with September 2015, the surplus of its goods account grew, and the deficit of the secondary income account fell.
