China, UAE agree on driving license reciprocity

China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will recognize the validity of driving licenses issued by each other, China's Ministry of Public Security (MPS) said on Wednesday.

Under the agreement, the holder of a driving license issued by either authorities is eligible for obtaining a driving permit on the other side without additional training or test, the MPS said.

The agreement, signed by the MPS and the Ministry of Interior of the UAE, will go into effect three months later.

China had clinched a similar reciprocal agreement with Belgium. Endi
