Urgent: U.S. rolls out new terror alert system with intermediate terror threat

The U.S. government on Wednesday announced a new terror alert system which included an "intermediate" level of terror threat in the wake of new warnings about home-grown attacks.

The adoption of the new system came 10 days after U.S. President Barack Obama warned Americans in a rare Oval Office address about "a new phase" of terrorism in the wake of a shooting spree in San Bernardino, California. Endit
