Non-communist Party celebrates 70th anniversary

Xinhua, December 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

The China National Democratic Construction Association (CNDCA), one of China's non-communist political parties, celebrated its 70th anniversary on Wednesday.

Sun Chunlan, head of the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, delivered a congratulatory speech at a conference marking the anniversary.

Sun praised the CNDCA for having cooperated sincerely with the CPC and making great contributions to the country's revolution, construction and reform ever since its founding.

Sun called on the CNDCA, with its close connections with the economic sector, to play the role of a thinktank, to promote the country's innovation and entrepreneurship drive, to provide social services and to assist CPC committees and governments in winning the war against poverty.

Moreover, Sun said the system of multi-party cooperation under the CPC leadership is the best way to harmonize a centralized leadership and widespread political participation, stability and social progresses, as well as vitality and efficiency.

Chen Changzhi, the CNDCA chairman, called upon all members to rally behind the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the General Secretary, and to make renewed efforts to realizing the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The CNDCA was founded by patriotic industrialists, businessmen and intellectuals in southwest China's Chongqing municipality on Dec. 16, 1945. Endi
