Bangladesh to allow registration of maximum 20 SIMs with one ID card

The Bangladeshi government will allow a person to register maximum 20 cellular phone subscriber identification module (SIM) cards with his or her national identity card.

"We've decided to allow maximum 20 SIMs cards for a person as parent could register more cellular phone connections for their children who don't have national identity cards," State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim was quoted as saying by state media in report Tuesday.

The minister said Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) will issue directives in this regard in a few days. Endit
