National aerial freestyle skiing championship kicks off in N. China

More than 40 Chinese competitors participated in a three-day national aerial freestyle skiing championship on Thursday in Aershan, a city of northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

   Guo Ziming from Shenyang of Liaoning Province and Quan Huilin from Urumqi of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region respectively claimed the gold medals of the men's and the women's aerials for the youth.

   "I'm excited to win the contest and I will endeavor to achieve a good mark in 2022 Winter Olympic Games," Qian said.

   Aershan, boasting abundant snow and 7-month long snow period, is one of the training bases for the Chinese national skiing team.  Endi
