Urgent: Gold up on weaker U.S. dollar

Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange rose Wednesday as the U.S. dollar weakened.

The most active gold contract for February delivery rose 1.2 U.S. dollars, or 0.11 percent, to settle at 1,076.50 dollars per ounce. Endit
