British FTSE 100 drops 0.14 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday decreased by 0.14 percent, or 8.54 points, to 6,126.68 points.

Share price of Ashtead Group increased by 8.63 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Glencore, Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton and BG Group increased by 5.02 percent, 3.88 percent, 3.68 percent and 3.13 percent respectively.

Capita led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.97 percent, followed by Hikma Pharmaceuticals (2.51 percent), Pearson (2.42 percent), G4S (2.37 percent) and Mondi (2.33 percent). Endit
