German investigators raid homes of terror suspects in Berlin, Saxony

Xinhua, December 9, 2015 Adjust font size:

German investigators raided several premises of a suspected terrorist association on Tuesday in Berlin and German state of Saxony, German media Focus Online reported.

However, German Federal Public Prosecutor was quoted as saying that nobody had been arrested.

Three accused are suspected of having established an unspecified terrorist association, according to the information from the prosecutors.

A suspect should also have solicited members and supporters of the terrorist group "Islamic State" (IS), said the report.

According to present knowledge, the group had planned in autumn to commit bomb attacks in Germany.

A first attempt should be carried out in Berlin, said the report.

A raid in October however did not provide any further evidence to the prosecutors, therefore, the authorities wanted to check the suspected location again with another raid on Tuesday, said the report. Endit
