Israeli security forces said on Tuesday they have arrested five Arab citizens on suspicion of establishing an Islamic State (IS) cell in Israel.
The arrest of the five, aged between 19 and 27, were made during October and November, the Shin Bet Security Agency said in a statement.
The suspects, residents of Nazareth in northern Israel, are accused of establishing an IS cell and taking military training.
Over the past months, the group had grown more radical and expressed support to the Salafi Jihadism movement, which supports IS.
They were indicted in the Nazareth District Court last month, but a gag order on the case was lifted only on Tuesday.
Dozens of Arab Israelis have undergone legal procedures in Israel in the past two years after traveling to Syria and trying to join the IS group, which Israel officially outlawed last month. Endit
