Japan's current account posts surplus in Oct. for 16th month

Japan's current account in October stayed in positive territory for the 16th consecutive month in October, standing at a surplus of 1.46 trillion yen (about 11.84 billion U.S. dollars), the government said Tuesday.

The Finance Ministry here said in a preliminary report that, among key components in the current account, goods traded registered a surplus of 200.2 billion yen (about 1.62 billion dollars). Endit
