3 assailants of Cairo deadly nightclub attack arrested

Xinhua, December 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Egyptian police managed on Saturday to arrest the third perpetrator of the recent deadly night club attack in Greater Cairo that left 16 people dead and three others injured, state-run Al-Ahram news website reported.

According to their confessions, the attack on Friday early morning was in revenge of the owners and workers at Al-Sayyad nightclub in Agouza district who kicked them out a night before after they started a fight over a woman.

The assailants, who included two teens, broke into the bar where they threw Molotov cocktails that set the place ablaze.

The two teens, a 19-year old mechanic known by his friends as "the Crazy" and an 18-year-old student, were arrested later on Friday after they left Cairo to hide in Suez. They said they only wanted to damage the place and they did not know the attack caused any deaths except from the news.

The victims, including 11 men and five women, were all employees of the nightclub. Endit
