Macedonia sells state bonds worth 77.42 mln U.S. dollars

Xinhua, December 2, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Macedonian Ministry of Finance announced Tuesday that the government sold state bonds in an auction worth 4.47 billion Macedonian Denar (around 77.42 million U.S. dollars).

The Macedonian state bonds were purchased by banks, insurance companies, pension funds and savings banks, said the ministry in a press release.

According to the Finance Ministry, the auction provides funds for payments to the economy and citizens, as planned in 2015 budget.

The ministry is set to refund 84.6 million euros (about 90 million U.S. dollars) during December to banks by way of matured securities. Endit
