1st LD: One killed in explosion near metro station in Istanbul

One person was killed and another wounded on Tuesday in an explosion near a metro station in Istanbul's European side district of Bayrampasa, local media reported.

The semi-official Anadolu Agency said the explosion took place at an overpass near the metro station, and the municipality suspended trains in Bayrampasa after the explosion.

The cause of the explosion and the causality have not been confirmed yet by the authorities.

Ambulances and fire brigades were rushing to the area. Endit
