Negotiations between the rebels and the Syrian authorities have been concluded on Tuesday with an agreement to evacuate the rebels from their last stronghold in Syria's central city of Homs, a well-informed source told Xinhua.

Governor of Homs Talal Barazi has concluded a final agreement with the armed rebels in the district of al-Waer, west of Homs, on allowing the evacuation of the rebels as of next week, the official source told Xinhua.(Syria-Rebels-Evacuation)

BEIJING -- Leaders of 25 media organizations from BRICS countries vowed to strengthen cooperation during the first BRICS Media Summit that concluded here on Tuesday.

JAKARTA -- Indonesian investigators on Tuesday said that crew errors and a fault with the rudder control system were the major causes of the crash of an AirAsia jet in December last year that killed all 162 people on board.

An analysis of the data recorder of flight QZ8501 showed that when receiving repeated warnings of the faulty component, pilots of the plane tried to reset a computer system, which caused the autopilot to disengage, Nurcahyo Utomo, one of the investigators from the National Transport Safety Committee (KNKT) said. HARARE -- Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived here Tuesday for a state visit to Zimbabwe aimed at further cementing the traditional friendship between the two countries and charting the course for the future development of bilateral ties.
